Radio Adelaide – on digital radio, online and 101.5fm
Radio Adelaide is for the curious people. Tune in to hear someone who understands the real world you live in, or to expand your horizons.
Radio Adelaide is powered by people. More than 400 of us, devoted to bringing you the sounds we love and the information you won’t hear without us.
Radio Adelaide brings people together. Our broadcasters and listeners are linked by interests and attitude, not age or fortune. They come from the many communities who together make Adelaide. They speak many languages and travel many roads. They like getting to know each other.
What can you hear? A distinctive take on current affairs, cultural coverage from the street to the spectacle, engaging talks programs and music for both connoisseurs and explorers.
Established by the University of Adelaide in 1972, Radio Adelaide is Australia’s first community radio station, broadcasting from high-profile street front studios on North Terrace, Adelaide, and the first community station to stream live on the internet, in 1996.
Each month, 155,000 people listen to our FM service and more than 7000 people visit our websites, downloading 30,000 podcasts. Our Digital Radio service means we can bring diverse radio to curious people, wherever and however they listen.
